Free weekend parking for Narberth Christmas shoppers in December.

Town centers in Pembrokeshire are set to receive a festive parking boost.
Free parking will be introduced in ALL Pembrokeshire County Council car parks on each weekend in December.
The free weekend parking is intended to support town centers by encouraging people to shop locally over Christmas.
All car parks will be free, including the main shopping center of Narberth.
Councilor Rob Lewis, Cabinet Member for Highways and Planning, said: "We are aware of the difficulties our town centre traders are facing, and would like to support them as much as possible over the Christmas shopping period."

Narberth Winter Carnival 2012

Narberth’s 2012 Winter Carnival - Saturday 1st December  
As part of the Narberth Winter Carnival, the ever popular Saturday morning in the Queens Hall with its Christmas stalls and little market, will this year be open up for more exhibitors to bring their stalls
In the hall this year you will see Santa’s Grotto together with a Magic Man, Balloon maker and face painting taking place.
The hall will open to the Public from 10.00am – 2.00pm.
With the Children’s Disco taking place from 2pm to 3.30pm
Carnival Parade
Those who wish to enter a float for the evening Carnival Parade may do so in advance by emailing Winter Carnival (info@narberthwintercarnival.co.uk ) with the float details which should inc: Size, Group Name, Point of Contact / Contact Details
Walkers can enter on the day by 5.30pm in the Queens Hall where registration will take place.

New Benches fitted in Play Park

Two new benches have now been fitted in Narberth Town Moor Play Park. Thanks to The Rotary Club of Narberth & Whitland together with the Narberth Chamber of Trade, who contributed a bench each.

The winners of the first ‘People’s Choice’ Food Awards were officially announced at a special presentation at the Royal Welsh Show, as part of the 2012 Wales True Taste Food and Drink Awards.

Last Autumn, the Minister established a Group under the Chairmanship of Professor Brian Morgan, of Cardiff Metropolitan University, to examine how the business rate regime in Wales could be used to encourage economic development and growth.
The resultant report - Business Rates Wales Review: Incentivising Growth - contains 19 key recommendations which cover an array of issues relating to business rates in Wales

True Taste of Wales Awards

We are delighted that 3 Narberth businesses have won awards in the True Taste of Wales awards 2011.

The Grove won the Gold for the category ‘Restaurants / Hotels (with rooms)’, Ultracomidia won Gold for best ‘Deli / Speciality store’ and Bethesda Farm & Coffee Shop won Gold for Poultry & Game.

Wedding Awards for White Bride

White Bride won two awards at the Welsh National Wedding Awards held at Parc-Y-Scarlet's in Llanelli.

Owner, Sally White (right in picture with Ali Palmer) won best Bridal Jewellery for 2011 and came runner up in the Bridal Boutique category and Best Wedding Occasionwear for White Boutique.

Local butcher does it again

Narberth butcher, Andrew Rees & Sons Ltd was awarded the Best Butcher Shop in Wales and was a UK runner-up. Read more here.
